Spacing
Spacing is the quietest part of the system and the one that most determines whether a layout feels calm or cramped.
Illustrative multiples of the 8px unit — no dedicated spacing tokens are published yet, so these steps aren't read live from the token file.

Section titled “Using spacing”Spacing is generosity. The identity depends on room to breathe — when a layout feels wrong, the answer is almost always more space, not another element. Reach for a larger spacing step before adding another element.
No dedicated spacing tokens are published yet; hold to multiples of the 8px unit until they are, so the rhythm is at least consistent even without a named scale to point at.

Layout conventions
Section titled “Layout conventions”- Contained images are the default. Full-bleed is used sparingly, for moments that earn it.
- The vertical title module (tate, tategaki-inspired) is a COCOLO signature, used for the Itinéraires and Étapes sections. It sits on a defined seam against the photography — treat its placement as fixed geometry, not a free composition.
